The fatometer is calibrated

We’ve got a Nike + pedometery thinamajig to measure our fat burning exploits as we walk but it’s been returning wildly different figures each day.  However last night we nailed the bastard and clocked up over 1,100 calories in our 1 hour 45 minute and 5.7 mile bridge walk.

We did not loom out of the dark like horrifyingly threatening mountains of menace on any passing young lassies, so that was a relief, and we didn’t have to fight our way through the Cowdenbeath FC training regime like the night before (honestly how the Hibees only won 3 – 2 against the lardmen of Fife is unbelievable).

So now we have a calibrated fat calculator, 7 days of diet and exercise behind us and a looming force 7 gale to contend with as we set out tonight.

But you know what?  It feels good and we are starting to feel less like Blue Whales and more like Sea Cows.  That’s a start.

Today’s musical offering is a delayed tribute to Don Letts who birthdayed on Wednesday.

Surely Big Audio Dynamite are one of the most underrated bands of all time.
